We catch up with Safa Ben Harzallah, an Operational Team Member with Asolvi in France, and hear why she wants all her friends to join the company. Safa started working for Asolvi France SAS (formerly Evatic SAS) in 2014. She has an evident thirst for knowledge and is thriving at the company.

“My role is so varied. I’m a technical consultant and support agent, and I get involved in customer training too. I’m also learning more about business intelligence, analytics, Azure Cloud Services, and integrations. This is where I’d like to focus in the future, and Asolvi is supporting me all the way.”

She continues: “It’s great to be working for a company like Asolvi — it really inspires confidence. And we know the company cares about us. They help in every way they can and give us the tools we need to succeed whenever we ask. We can also talk with our line managers about our wellbeing, future personal development, and career advice, which is always good to know.”

I also took a role in training customers on the new software, which was very interesting to do. They were really pleased to see that the product was evolving and ready for the future.

Working on New Evatic

Safa was part of the team that developed New Evatic, transforming it from a Windows-based product into a modern web application. Thanks to the work undertaken by Safa and her colleagues, New Evatic is now a browser-based system that offers modern API connectivity as well as integrating with the most common fleet management systems.

Working on Hosted Evatic Software

“It was a great opportunity to get to work on cloud-based technology and within an Azure environment. There was a lot to learn, and it was great to be involved with this new technology. I also took a role in training customers on the new software, which was very interesting to do. They were really pleased to see that the product was evolving and ready for the future. They were really pleased with how the product evolved and the option for no longer needing all the IT infrastructure or resources to run it. Instead, we take care of that and manage it in the cloud.”

A real team player

“It was also interesting — and gratifying — to work with so many different colleagues on the project. And I’ve learned a lot from them. They knew the system very well and were always happy to share that knowledge with me so that I could develop my skills too.”

Safa works primarily from home, but she has travelled twice to Asolvi’s head office in Norway. The first time was shortly after joining, where she had the chance to learn more about the company and its culture. The second time was as part of the Asolvi Exchange program.

It was so interesting to experience Norwegian life first-hand and meet colleagues in person.

“It was wonderful to visit Trondheim. The people were so welcoming and friendly. You can knock on anyone’s door, and they always have time to help you. I also got many opportunities to spend time out of the office with my colleagues while I was there. And it was so interesting to experience Norwegian life first-hand and meet colleagues in person that I’d never otherwise have the chance to. They were motivating experiences and connected me to the company in ways I hadn’t imagined.”

She concludes: “I’d recommend Asolvi as a great place to work. There are so many advantages at a personal level, including the opportunity to travel and be part of a diverse multinational company. I can’t think of a better place — I’m trying to convince my friends to join as soon as there are suitable positions!”
